Obituary For Lisa A Landry

Lisa A. Landry, 53, a longtime resident of Lowell, MA passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024 at D'Youville Manor surrounded by family. Born July 9, 1970 the daughter of Gerard Landry and the late Susan (Gelineau) Landry. Lisa attended day programs at Lifelinks, Home Away From Home, and Monarch Adult Daycare creating memorable friendships with everyone she came into contact with.

Lisa is also survived by her siblings Robert Landry and wife Anita of Berlin, NH; Tammy Buckley and husband James of Hudson, NH; Darlene Parker and husband Douglas of Manchester, NH; Gerard Landry Jr of Concord, NH; Michael Landry and wife Kellianne of Dracut, MA; Dawn Landry of Nashua, NH; and Theresa Cordova of Nashua, NH; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lisa also leaves behind her beloved teddy bear David Rose whom she was inseparable from.

Despite the challenges posed by her Down Syndrome, Lisa approached each day with determination and positivity that was both inspiring and humbling. One of the most profound qualities of Lisa's life was her ability to find happiness in the simplest of things. Whether it was Lisa's love for music, her love for her parent's home cooking, or her love for shopping at the dollar store, Lisa had the ability to appreciate life in its purest form. Lisa's greatest joys were her Saturday outings with her sister Tammy, her sleepovers with her sister Darlene, and her frequent visits from her brothers Michael, Bob, and Gerry, all of which were met with hugs and kisses. The love and support Lisa received from her family played a pivotal role in shaping the person she became.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a charitable donation to the National Down Syndrome Society.

Services will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning Saturday March 9, 2024 at Granite State Baptist Church, 236 Sheep Davis Road, Concord, NH. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 3pm-7pm at the Dracut American Legion Post 315, 574 Broadway Rd., Dracut, MA 01826.

My Princess Lisa, I can't believe you're gone. I am happy that you are at peace and finally with your Mom again, but, so sad that we won't see you here with us.
