Marie A. Borans, 92, of Stoneham, MA went to be with her precious Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Sunday 7/7/24. She was married to her beloved husband Alan Borans with whom she would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on February 5.
She was born and raised in Lynn, MA. She was the oldest daughter and second oldest of the late Robert and Gertrude Wallis and their 11 children. She raised her family in Lynn and Melrose.
From being the consummate daughter to her parents, big sister doting on her brothers and sisters and wonderful mother who showered her children in love, Marie lived a long and full life blessing and hugging everyone she met. She loved to entertain and share her home in Melrose hosting many wonderful girls Christmas parties, Bible Studies and holiday celebrations giving love and hospitality to everyone she met.
There was nothing more that she loved than being a mother and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters. She also enjoyed taking walks at Lynn Beach and she was always happy to share with anyone about her relationship with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She and her husband Alan along with his business partner Aristides Simopoulos worked many years together at Dandy Donuts in Malden.
She enjoyed many winters away in North Port, FL, adult family vacations in North Conway and some wonderful memories of past trips to Bermuda going all the way back to Yellowbird airlines.
Besides her husband she is survived by her son Joseph Bosley of Berwick, ME, her daughter Susan Snider and her husband Joseph of Melrose, her son Robert Bosley and his wife Anke of Groveland, her son Scott Bosley and his wife Charlene of Woburn, and her beloved stepsons Andrew Borans of Hollywood Beach, FL, Gary Borans of Indianapolis, IN and Ronald Borans and his partner Marks Hatcher of Cosby, TN, and 8 grandchildren: Mark and Alana, Jonathan, Elise and Olivia, Matthew, Zach, and Alexa and great grandson Adam. Also, her brother Charles Wallis and his wife Yoshiko of Peabody, and sisters Joanne Curly of Peabody, Ada Dowd of Peabody and Cynthia Drainoni and her husband Riccardo of Woburn and brother-in-law David Borans and his wife Arlene of North Wales, PA.
Arrangements: There will be a memorial service on Saturday morning July 20th at South Congregational Church at 60 Prospect St. Peabody, MA at 11:30 AM with light lunch served in the church after. Additional parking is available across the street at the North Shore Mall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to South Congregational Church or the Salvation Army.
