Manuel Joseph “Manny” Sousa Obituary
Manuel J. Sousa, 76, of Chelmsford, MA, passed away on March 27th, 2024 in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Manuel led a fulfilling life. He served in Vietnam for the United States Army, demonstrating bravery and dedication to his country. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career path. Manuel was a longtime employee at Millipore Corporation before pursuing his passion for animals by owning Boston Exotics, an exotic parrot shop in Acton, MA.
Manny, as he was affectionately known, was a devoted family man. Manuel was predeceased by his parents, Manuel F. Sousa and Mary Sousa, formerly of Chelmsford, MA, as well as his brother Ronald Sousa. He is survived by his loving wife Jane, his children Joshua Sousa and his wife Kerryn, Matthew Sousa and his wife Mallory, Michaela Sousa and her partner Jason, his grandchildren Kiera, Camden, Kinsley, Colton, and Bodyn, his siblings Leonard Sousa and his wife Judith, Denis Sousa and his wife Rosalie, and Sandra Kinney and her husband Arthur, and many nieces and nephews.
Manny will always be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his loved ones and his animals. He was one of friendliest people to exist, considering everyone he met a friend. May he rest in peace, knowing he made a lasting impact on those around him. Services will be held privately.
