D. Marilyn Larson Obituary

D. Marilyn Larson, 88, of 25A Lund Drive, formerly of Fremont, NH and Nokomis, FL, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness.

She was born July 23, 1936, in Exeter, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Harry S. and Helen W. (Walsh) Miller.

Marilyn had careers in banking, the travel industry, real estate and the managing partner of Larson Technologies. She dedicated her life to her family as a nurturing and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and aunt. Marilyn and Bob raised a blended family in Fremont where they loved celebrating holidays with family and friends. They especially loved hosting annual Thanksgiving celebrations where friends and relatives from near and far, gathered to enjoy one another’s company and Bob’s epic turkey! They are also remembered for hosting exciting Easter egg hunts on their beautiful property by the river for their grandchildren.

Marilyn enjoyed gardening, traveling, and camping. She also enjoyed many crafty pursuits including knitting, crochet, and cross-stitch. She was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Larson, with whom she recently celebrated fifty years of marriage; seven children: Debra Bacon (Guy Conrad) of Fremont, NH; John Pickard (Sandy) of Lee, NH; Edward Pickard (Cindy) of Pittsfield, NH; Frank Pickard of Exeter, NH; Jennifer Larson (Charlie Comtois) of Hudson, NH; Angela Larson of Dracut, MA; ten grandchildren: Justin Pickard (Ivy Penaredondo) of Antioch, TN; Kristin Knope (Justin) of Houston TX; Melissa Corriveau (Michael) of Concord, NH; Eric Pickard (Annie) of Suncook, NH; Jeffrey Bacon (Melissa Cote) of Rochester, NH; Victoria Richards (Patrick McCarthy) of Lowell, MA; Andrew Richards (Marisa Santarelli) of Kingston, NH; Samaya Thapa of Dracut, MA; Anisha Thapa of Dracut, MA; nine great-grandchildren: Isaac, Cronin and Thomas Corriveau; Matthew, Vaddon and Ryland Knope; Jackson Bacon, Nayomie Cote and Syda Pabon; and many cherished cousins and relatives. Marilyn was predeceased by daughter Julie A. Larson and granddaughter Sarah Jane Pickard.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the People’s United Methodist Church, 408 Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044 from 1:00 to 4:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice House of Merrimack, NH.
