December 24, 1972 – July 20, 2026
Brian Thomas Pouliot, 53, of Amherst, NH, passed away on July 20, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH, after a brave and courageous 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Known affectionately by his nicknames Bling, Casper, and lovingly called Bubba and Papa by his wife, Brian was born on December 24, 1972, in Keene, NH.
He never particularly enjoyed having a Christmas Eve birthday, often joking that his birthday and Christmas presents were always combined into one.
Brian’s greatest love story began on October 15, 2004, when he met Becky Raymond, in Milford, NH in a friend’s basement. From that day forward, they became best friends and inseparable. Together for nearly 22 years and married for 18, Brian and Becky built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories. Brian and his family often stated that his wife saved his life and was the best thing that ever happened to him. Their love and devotion to one another remained a constant throughout their life together.
The biggest joys of Brian’s life were his wife and his five children.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Becky (Raymond) Pouliot from Nashua, NH, and their children, Brianna Pouliot, Brian Pouliot Jr., Brayden Pouliot, and Brookelynn Pouliot, all of Amherst, NH.
Together, they were affectionately known as the “BP Family of Six,” a special name that reflected the love and bond they shared. Brian also leaves behind his son, Kodi Wright, from a prior companionship. His family was his world, and he took immense pride in being a husband and father.
He is also survived by his two brothers, as well as half-siblings and step-siblings from his parents’ subsequent marriages; his uncle, Marcel Pouliot and family of Goffstown; aunts, a nephew and niece, distant cousins, and many dear friends who were like brothers to him.
Brian began his working life at Morin Landscaping before transitioning into the construction field, where he worked for over 30 years.
He eventually established his own general contracting company. A talented and hardworking man, Brian was gifted with his hands and had an incredible ability to fix nearly anything. It was this talent, along with his creativity and craftsmanship, that earned him the loving nickname “Geppetto.”
Beyond his work, Brian was a man of many passions. He loved soccer and was a talented player who took great pride in coaching his children. He also loved football and was a devoted New England Patriots fan. From the very beginning of their relationship, he took it upon himself to teach Becky everything about the game. In Brian’s eyes, however, his favorite players were always his sons, Brian Jr. and Brayden.
Brian will be remembered for his easygoing personality, his infectious smile, his sense of humor, and his ability to make people feel welcome. He never hesitated to talk to strangers or wish someone a good morning.
He loved telling jokes, making people laugh, and repeating his favorite stories—sometimes so often that his family and friends lovingly teased him about it.
His name, Brian, means strength, and that was certainly fitting. Brian was known for his physical strength, his determination, and his ability to find a way to repair almost anything. His family also knew another side of him: his playful, carefree spirit and his love of enjoying life.
Brian had a special appreciation for April 20th, or 420, which he considered his favorite activity and holiday. He often joked about remembering Becky’s birthday, April 19th as the day before 4/20. One of his favorite expressions was, “4/19, got a minute?”—usually followed by lighting one up. These little jokes and traditions were part of the unique bond Brian and Becky shared.
Brian was also a deeply spiritual person. He found meaning in Scripture and believed in the importance of love, kindness, and keeping his thoughts focused on the things that truly matter. His favorite passages included:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing.”
— Psalm 23
“Let everything you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14
“Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely…think about these things.”
Philippians 4:8
Brian believed in the special meaning of red cardinals. He also knew how much his wife loved butterflies, and butterflies will forever hold a special meaning for her as a reminder of their love and the life they shared.
His family finds comfort in knowing that whenever they see a red cardinal or a butterfly, they can think of Brian and feel that he is nearby. To them, Brian is now an angel watching over the family and everyone who loved him.
Brian’s life was filled with love, humor, hard work, family, and unforgettable moments. His smile, his stories, his jokes, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed. Though he is no longer physically by their side, his memory will live on in his children, his wife, his family, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Fly high, Brian. You will forever be loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten.
Arrangements for Brian’s cremation were handled by Dolan Funeral Home. His ashes will be laid to rest at a future date. There will be no public services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
